Lori came to my Smithsburg photography studio because as she told me…
“ I have always been intrigued by your work and when I saw you sharing photos of the women for your 40 over 40 portrait sessions I wanted to be part of that”.
I was honored and thrilled to have her on board! Lori has such a strong and positive personality – perfect for the photographs I wanted to take. Seeing my work motivated her to want to be part of the project herself and also update her professional pictures.
Lori Smith Wriston is a woman who is both powerful and smart, with a heart for encouraging others. She is an inspirational speaker who often shares her journey with others to help them understand that it is possible to overcome any obstacle. Lori is also an author, some of her books include Face Your Fears, You Were Made to THRIVE, and a great journal too.

Although Lori was experienced with seeing my work she was still nervous she wouldn't be able to look as good as the women she had seen me photograph.

“I’ve never quite liked a photo of me before and I was nervous that I wouldn't like myself in them, I was so happy when I saw my portraits though!”
When I asked Lori what she enjoys about her silver years, she said "I like the fact that I don't have to care anymore what people think of me, and I like having more confidence and more boldness and just stating my mind and not really care what people say about what I want to do. I love that."
This is exactly the kind of attitude that comes through in her photos, confidence, and ease of spirit and I'm so grateful to have been able to capture it. I’m so pleased that Lori wanted to have this portrait experience and that she now has so many poised and powerful headshots she can use as author bios, social media profiles, and various other promotional pieces.
