HOW A NEWBORN PORTRAIT SESSION WORKS
1.Consultation
All good plans start with an end goal in mind.
After your inquiry we will have a short call to go over all the sweet details of your little ones expected arrival and impact already on your heart.
We will plan out the looks and colors for your baby’s photos and discuss ideas for where you would love to see your babies portraits in your home and keepsakes you'd love to create.
Newborn Baby photo sessions are scheduled within the first 2 weeks of delivery, 10 -14 days old being ideal.
2. Newborn Session day
takes place in my Smithsburg MD studio and typically last 3-4 hours
First, I start by creating a warm studio with calming sounds- the perfect mix for your baby’s comfort.
Next, I have several looks ready to go from our discussions. Your custom-styled photo shoot includes the use of handcrafted items from an array of talented boutique vendors including matching set outfits, rompers, bonnets, “lovies” and much more.
And don’t worry! Your newborn session is baby-led which means there is plenty of time allowed for soothing and feeding between set ups.
Additionally, all newborn portrait sessions include time for parent, family and sibling pictures.
3. The big reveal
Even more magic happens after your session…
your professionally edited portrait gallery is ready to view and you will be so excited to see them!
At your reveal and ordering appointment you will be able to chose the photos you love best. We will go over the different ways you can enjoy your baby’s first portraits by putting together any looks we planned ahead of time and then decide what else you’d love to create.
