 A Glimpse into Carmen's World

"Anything that comes up age-wise that you'd like to share with us today?"

“Carmen, with her radiant smile, replied, "My name is Carmen Marie Rosa, and I'm 56 years old, and in about two weeks, I'm going to be 57, and I feel great. I've had a pretty full life, and I’ve traveled quite a bit. I think probably as far as age is concerned, I think it's important to age gracefully and live life to the fullest, no matter how old you are.” – Carmen Rosa

Carmen's words carry a profound message, one that speaks to all of us. They remind us that age is not a constraint but a canvas upon which we paint the stories of our lives. It encourages us to see the beauty in each wrinkle, the wisdom in each gray hair, and the richness of experience that comes with the passing of time. Remember that age is not a limitation but an invitation to embrace the fullness of life. Whether you're in your twenties, your forties, or beyond, there's a unique beauty in your journey waiting to be celebrated and shared with the world. In the end, Carmen's portrait session serves as a testament to the fact that beauty is not bound by age; it's a reflection of the joy, the laughter, the tears, and the adventures that fill our years. It's a reminder that, like Carmen, we can all age gracefully and live life to the fullest, no matter how old we are.

Stepping into the Spotlight

During the shoot, I asked Carmen how she felt leading up to the session and what her experience was like. She admitted to being somewhat shy when it came to individual attention and being in front of the camera. However, she followed the instructions diligently and found herself enjoying the process. Carmen acknowledged that holding some of the poses was a bit challenging but overall described the experience as fun.

"I’m a bit shy when it comes to photos and attention, so I can't say I was fully ready, but I followed all the instructions as best as I could. It felt good, though some poses were a bit tough. But overall, it was fun." – Carmen Rosa

In those words, she reveals a relatable truth about many of us—the vulnerability we feel when placed in the spotlight. It's that moment when we step out of our comfort zone.

Photos with a Purpose

When discussing her plans for the photos, Carmen expressed her excitement. She had a clear vision of how she would use her headshot. It would find its place on her website, where she passionately shares her journey and her books. Carmen is not only a model but also an author of children's books, and she intends to feature the portrait in her next literary masterpiece.

“So far, so good. I definitely recommend it, and I'm going to get a really good headshot, and I'm going to use it to go on my website, and I'm also going to get it to go on my next book, children's book. I publish children's books, and I’ve completed my first of the three. It’s a trilogy, and each one of the books are to demonstrate selfless service and to teach it and to provide awareness to an organization that is needed primarily to help children around the world.” – Carmen Rosa
